Join us for a Volunteer Invasive Plant (VIP) Initiative event! This community-driven program invites volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to come together and help protect our park’s natural ecosystem. During the VIP, we work to remove invasive, non-native plant species that threaten the health of local wildlife and native vegetation. It’s a great way to make a tangible impact on the environment, learn about the importance of biodiversity, and meet like-minded people who care about conservation. Tools, gloves, and guidance will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Come as you can, for the duration you can.
This event is perfect for individuals who are comfortable with physical activities such as bending, crouching, and pulling. Volunteers will be engaging in hands-on tasks like removing weeds, digging up roots, and pulling out invasive plants from the ground.
