Join us for a buzz-worthy night with John Zippay where he’ll introduce a fascinating native bee who dares to venture out in February when flowers are still hitting snooze. In this classroom setting, you’ll learn about why these native bees break with common tradition and leave their cozy nest before blooms arrive.

This free program will provide a look into their survival playbook to uncover what they do and why, and it will all happen around a delightful visual journey filled with snapshots and videos showcasing the amazing Colletes bees’ adventures in the scenic valley at Lost River Cave. The program also includes an optional walk to discover the bees’ nesting spot at the park.
