Why are the winning tickets chosen from a tumbler instead of electronically?

Our Kentucky Charitable Gaming License requires us to use sequentially numbered paper tickets. We use a tumbler to draw winners from those tickets. We track the purchased tickets on the ticket log (visible on our website), and each ticket number corresponds with the numbered paper ticket.

Do I have to be present to win?

No, you do not have to be present to win any prize.

How can I view the drawing?

The raffle drawing will take place on June 1, 2026, at 3 pm CT on Facebook Live. The drawings will be done in person with paper tickets drawn from a raffle drum at Lost River Cave 2818 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101. The drawing can be viewed in person or online via a Facebook Live stream on Lost River Cave’s page at www.facebook.com/lostrivercave.

What are the odds of winning?

Ticket sales are limited to 2,500. The odds of winning a prize are dependent on how many tickets are sold. All tickets have an equal chance to win a prize.

How many winners will there be?

There will be 4 prize drawings: 1 grand prize drawing and 3 additional prize drawings.

Can I still purchase tickets?

Tickets will be available for purchase through 10:00 am CT on June 1, 2026, or until they sell out. Only 2,500 tickets will be sold.

Can I win more than one prize?

Each ticket has an equal chance to win. If you purchase multiple tickets, it is possible to win multiple prizes. Winning tickets for each prize drawing will not be reentered into the hopper.

What does my ticket purchase make me eligible to win?

Who is eligible to buy raffle tickets and win?

Why bourbon?

Bourbon and caves share the same Kentucky story – limestone and water. The same water that shaped Lost River Cave’s limestone over thousands of years is what gives Kentucky bourbon its signature character. By raffling rare, collectible bourbons like Pappy Van Winkle and Blanton’s, we’re turning that shared heritage into meaningful impact. Lost River Cave is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit powered by community support. Proceeds support the Charlie Miller Butterfly Habitat, a space where people can connect and learn about native pollinators. Whether you enter the raffle or spread the word, you’re helping protect this unique natural resource. Not into bourbon? You can still make an impact by donating, becoming a member, volunteering, or following us on Facebook for updates.

How do I know this is legit?

Lost River Cave is a registered Kentucky 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN 61-1198452) incorporated in 1990. We suggest visiting our website to see if the raffle you see in your news feed is ours. You can also follow our Facebook page www.facebook.com/lostrivercave to see our raffle posts and the raffle drawing livestream on June 1, 2026. Also, please feel free to call or visit the park. We’re located at 2818 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101, or call us at 270-393-0077.

Are there any fees?

Yes, but they are optional! Givebutter, a free fundraising platform for non-profits, gives you the option to pay tips & processing fees. It is possible to turn these off at checkout by clicking “Edit” next to processing fee and the arrows next to tip percentages.

In Kentucky, everything begins with water and limestone. Over thousands of years, that water carved the passageways of Lost River Cave – quietly shaping a place of wonder beneath our feet. That same water, filtered through limestone, gives Kentucky bourbon its unmistakable character.

It’s a shared story. A natural legacy. And it’s one worth protecting.

At Lost River Cave, that legacy doesn’t stop underground – it takes flight in the Charlie Miller Butterfly Habitat. This screened-in garden is more than a beautiful space; it’s an immersive, living classroom designed to spark curiosity and inspire action. Here, visitors step inside the world of native pollinators – slowing down, observing closely, and beginning to understand the vital role these species play in the health of our ecosystems.

For many, it’s their first quiet moment with a butterfly. And often, it’s the beginning of a deeper connection to the natural world. That connection matters.

Butterflies and other pollinators are essential to life as we know it, yet their habitats are rapidly disappearing. By protecting this space – and keeping it free and accessible – we’re creating opportunities for people of all ages to not only learn, but to leave inspired to care for the wild places around them, wherever they call home.

That’s where bourbon comes in. By raffling rare, sought-after bottles like Pappy Van Winkle bourbon and Blanton’s bourbon, we’re transforming Kentucky’s most celebrated spirit into something even more meaningful: a way to sustain this place of discovery, education, and impact.

Every ticket purchased helps keep the Butterfly Habitat thriving – for the next moment of wonder, the next spark of curiosity, and the next person inspired to protect the natural world. Because the future of our natural world isn’t bound by geography – it’s something we all have a role in protecting.
