Earth Week is April 18-24! Volunteers will celebrate by working to preserve one our the 7 natural habitats at the Park: the meadow! Friends, families, and coworkers will band together to take down invasive plant species to make room for native plants all while enjoying the benefits of being in nature. Daily nature programs will be free to all volunteers starting at 4 pm. Sponsorship of this event will go to support the conservation of Lost River Cave’s 72-acre Park!
The Charlie Miller Butterfly Habitat is a hit with locals and tourists alike. Each year from Memorial Day to Labor Day butterflies populate the habitat creating a magical, and free, experience for all. The Habitat also serves as an introduction to insects, showing children that science and bugs can be fun! These special sponsorships go to support the Habitat’s upkeep, plants, staff, and the butterflies themselves.
