Earth Week

April 22 - April 28

Join in the “wild” festivities at Lost River Cave for a fun week of eco-adventures from April 22 to April 28! Dive into the green scene by revamping the meadow habitat, giving invasive species the boot to make room for the beautiful native flora. Gather your pals, soak up the great outdoors, and help restore the park’s habitats. Rain or shine, the green party’s on. Let’s make Mother Nature proud!

Earth Week Details

It’s super easy! Register online by clicking on the desired date below.

Celebrate Earth Day with us all week long! We will focus on volunteering to remove invasive and exotic plants, which encroach on native wildflowers and habitat for wildlife.

The Main Target: Euonymus fortunei a.k.a. Winter Creeper! This commonly used ground cover has been taking over the Valley and is encroaching on the meadow restoration project and surrounding Blue Hole #3. We will spend the week protecting and beautifying these habitats by removing this plant from the area!

Also, see the calendar above or schedule below for the full week’s list of activities!

Everyone aged 10 and up can volunteer! Children 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Have a group? Get your students, staff, or club involved in Earth Week! Groups can sign up online or contact Anna at 270.393.0077.

Free Boat Tour Pass! All Habitat Heroes will receive a free boat tour pass!

First 100 Participants who Register will receive a Free Earth Week T-shirt!
