During the VIP\, we work to remove invasive\, non-native plant species that threaten the health of local wildlife and native vegetation. It’s a great way to make a tangible impact on the environment\, learn about the importance of biodiversity\, and meet like-minded people who care about conservation. Tools\, gloves\, and guidance will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Come as you can\, for the duration you can. \n  \nThis event is perfect for individuals who are comfortable with physical activities such as bending\, crouching\, and pulling. Volunteers will be engaging in hands-on tasks like removing weeds\, digging up roots\, and pulling out invasive plants from the ground. \n  \nWild Ones members and non-members are welcome to attend! If you don’t have gloves\, we’ll have plenty that you can borrow.\n\n\nWhat age can participate?  We recommend participants be over the age of 8\, but all ages are welcome. Children 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.\n\n\nAre there restrooms?  Restrooms are available inside the gift shop\, but not at the pull site.\n\n\nCan I use this event for service hours?  This event is great for anyone who needs service hours.
