All new adventures in 2017! Your child’s sense of wonder and curiosity is an indestructible force when given a place to grow.  The Junior Naturalist Program is the outdoor adventure that every child deserves.  Every program is a journey of exploration and discovery that will forge a life-long bond with the natural world.  Registration is now closed for 2017, but please keep a lookout for our other nature programs!  2017 Junior Naturalist Program Schedule

March 18, 2017: Fun with Folk
10:00am-12 noon

Discover connections between humans and nature through folklore from all over the world.

April 15, 2017: Let’s Get Wild(flowers)!
10:00am-12 noon

Get to know the spring wildflowers and their use in the habitat. Investigate plants and how they interfere with their environment.

June 17, 2017: Cold-Blooded Friends
10:00am-12 noon

Check out what slithers in the valley, prairie and wetland. Learn about reptiles and amphibians that call the park home.

August 19, 2017: Under the Eclipsing Sun
10:00am-12 noon

Prepare for the total solar eclipse by making a viewer and learning more about space!

September 16, 2017: Pollination and Graduation
10:00am-12 noon

Buzz, crawl and fly your way around the park as we investigate the insects that pollinate, predate and decompose. We will end the day with a graduation party!

October 21, 2017: Great American Campout
10:00am-12 noon

Sleep under the stars. All Jr. Naturalists will receive free camping for their families at Great American Campout and participate in a special event while there.
